Masahiko Maeda
CEO
Masahiko Maeda is Chief Executive Officer for the Asia region, Deputy Chief Executive Officer for the China region. Concurrently, he holds the position of President of Toyota Motor Asia (Thailand).
He graduated from Tohoku University with a master’s degree in engineering in March 1994 and joined Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) the following month.
In July 2016, he was appointed Chief Engineer of ZB, CVZ, and CV Company. By January 2018, Mr. Maeda had advanced to Managing Officer and President of the Emerging-Market Compact Car Company. The following January, he was promoted to Operating Officer, taking on the roles of Deputy Chief Executive Officer for the China and Asia regions, as well as Chairman and President of Toyota Daihatsu Engineering & Manufacturing and Chairman of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia. In April 2020, he became Chief Technology Officer and President of the Vehicle Development Center.
In January 2021, he was named Chief Officer of the Toyota ZEV Factory, followed by his appointment as Executive Vice President in April 2022.
As Asia increasingly emerges as a growth center for Toyota, he is dedicated to leading social implementation projects focused on carbon neutrality and CASE technologies, driving a new strategic vision for the region.
Hao Quoc Tien
Deputy CEO
Hao Quoc Tien is the President of Toyota Motor Asia (Singapore), Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Asia Region, and Deputy Chief Officer of the Sales Financial Business Group, Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC). Concurrently, he holds the position of Chief Executive Officer for Toyota Financial Services Asia (TFS).
He firstly joined Toyota Canada in 1999. Since then, he held multiple key executives’ posts in Sales and Marketing for Toyota and Lexus in several regions, including North America, Japan, China, and Asia.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Richard Ivey School of Business, and a Chartered Director from DeGroote School of Business in Canada.
