TMSS was established to coordinate trading activities and provide management services to our Asia Sales and Manufacturing Companies (ASMCs).
TMSS renamed as Toyota Motor Asia Pacific (TMAP)
TMAP as a wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation, to coordinate and facilitate Toyota's vehicle and parts business, as well as to provide services and solutions.
Establishment of Toyota Technical Center Asia Pacific (TTCAP) in Thailand
TTCAP was responsible for engineering and research and development center outside Japan.
Establishment of Toyota Motor Asia Pacific (TMAP-EM) in Thailand through a merger with TTCAP
TMAP-EM was responsible for local Research & Development, purchasing and preparation function for the IMV (Innovative International Multi-Purpose Vehicle) series as Thailand is one of the global production and supply hub for Toyota mainly for emerging-market-commercial vehicle.
Toyota Motor Asia Pacific (TMAP-EM) in Thailand renamed as Toyota Daihatsu Engineering & Manufacturing (TDEM)
TDEM has new operations in addition to the existing operations to pursue the development of the country and region to become the global production and supply hub of compact vehicles for emerging-market with support from Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd.

Following a strategic direction, Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) renamed both TMAP (based in Singapore) and TDEM (based in Thailand), the two regional headquarters of TMC in Asia, to “Toyota Motor Asia,” delivering integrated technical and commercial solutions to customers in Asia, under the vision of “Mobility for All.”
