9 December 2021 – Toyota Daihatsu Engineering & Manufacturing (TDEM*), Toyota’s regional office in Asia for engineering, manufacturing and other functions, today announced that Toyota received multiple “Decade of Safer Vehicle Awards” in conjunction with the ASEAN NCAP’s 10th Anniversary Celebration.
The New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP) is turning 10 years old this 8 December 2021 and celebration was conducted on 9 December in Malaysia.
The Toyota Brand has received 4 awards, including “BEST ADULT OCCUPANT PROTECTION 2017 – 2020” for C-HR, “BEST SAFETY ASSIST 2019” for MAJESTY/GRANVIA, “THE MOST 5-STAR CAR 2017 – 2020” and “THE MOST 5-STAR CAR 2012-2020,” has it was recognized to have acquired the most 5-STAR cars in the 10 years since ASEAN NCAP was introduced.
